Suggested Attendees

Flu-2015 would like to extend an invitation towards all virologists, immunologists, microbiologists, epidemiologists, doctors , public health planners and all those working on the Influenza virus to attend the International Conference on Flu.

OMICS International is pleased to announce its annual conferences in 2015 and 2016. One of the premier annual conference is Flu Meeting.
The conference throws light on thought provoking topics and recent research in the field of Flu like, Flu and Vaccines, Current Focus in Flu Research, Potential Drug Targets Molecular Biology of Influenza Viruses, Mutation and Influenza Virus, Threat of Cross-Species Strains, Influenza Strains: Detection and Differentiation, Influenza Co-infection, Influenza and Antivirals, Therapeutic Approaches and Targets for Viral Infections, and many more. Open Minded International Conferences (OMICS) are determined to put forth a platform for eminent personalities to share their expertise and research at Flu, Chicago, USA.
Influenza is a highly contagious disease affecting almost all mammals and birds. It is an unstable virus as it has a high mutation rate which gives it the potential to become lethal, Experts from various fields like virology, medicine, immunology, microbiology, public health planning, epidemiology, pharmacology and vaccinology all work on the flu virus. An influenza pandemic is an epidemic of an influenza virus that spreads on a worldwide scale and infects a large proportion of the human population. In contrast to the regular seasonal epidemics of influenza, Influenza pandemics occur irregularly, with the 1918 Spanish flu the most serious pandemic in recorded history.

Warnings about the dangers of superbugs are taking on new urgency with the release of a frightening new report from the British government. The report says higher rates of drug-resistant bacterial infections could result in 10 million deaths a year by 2050. Flu is the most familiar respiratory infection in the world. In the United States alone, approximately 25 to 50 million people contract influenza each year. Molecular Biology of influenza virus is somewhat variable, but the virion particles are usually spherical or ovoid in shape and 80 to 120 nanometers in diameter. Three distinct types of influenza virus, dubbed A, B, and C, have been identified. Mutation rate of influenza virus is rapidly as flu virus mutates easily there are many strains and immunity to one strain does not guarantee immunity against another and so current focus in flu research is mainly develop a universal vaccine that will be effective for all strains of influenza virus.
Influenza co-infection with bacteria complicated nearly all influenza deaths in the 1918 influenza pandemic and up to 34% of 2009 pandemic influenza A (H1N1) infections managed in intensive care units worldwide. More than 65,000 deaths attributable to influenza and pneumonia occur annually in the United States. Swine flu, Ebola, and avian flu are some of threat of Cross-Species Strains. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend that everyone over the ages of 6 months should receive the seasonal influenza vaccine. The flu shot is a multivalent vaccine and approval has been given for some quadrivalent forms. Only few Flu medicines are currently manufactured to combat the influenza virus Most of the other drugs treat the symptoms rather than deal with the virus. Public health policy makers are continually updating their strategies to contain outbreaks on local and global scenarios. As can be seen from current research work the fight against influenza involves professionals from various fields and Flu-2015 to bring all these people from diverse fields together so that meaningful discussions and deliberations can take place.
