Track 1 & 2: The Science of Aesthetics- Surgical & Non-Surgical Procedures
Aesthetics is an inclusive term for specialties which focus on improving appearance of individuals via cosmetic procedures. It is not just limited to scars, wrinkles, moles, excessive fat, unwanted hair, and skin discoloration. Aesthetic procedures traditionally included reconstructive surgery, cosmetic surgery, and dermatology.
Aesthetic medicine included surgical procedures: liposuction, facelifts, breast implants, Radio frequency ablation and Non-Surgical procedures: radio frequency skin tightening, non-surgical liposuction, chemical peel. Few practitioners utilize combination of both the procedures.
Track 3: Reconstructive Surgery
Surgery is performed to restore an individual’s body i.e. to improve the functioning of the body parts. It covers a wide range of conditions. Reconstructive surgery is performed to restore faces after trauma and to reconstruct the head and neck after cancer. The common feature is that the operation attempts to restore the anatomy or the function of the body part to normal. Few procedures which are to be discussed at the conference include-Breast enhancement: Reduction & Lift, Skin cancer removal, Burn, Scar revision and Hand Surgery.
Track 4: Skin Rejuvenation and Resurfacing
Skin irregularities are caused due to skin disorders, Sun, aging and even heredity on the face and elsewhere on the body. These include textural abnormalities like lines, wrinkles, acne scars, pigmentation changes like freckles and sunspots, or visible blood vessels. Skin becomes less firm and certain areas of the body may develop cellulite conditions, or may feel less firm. Experts use different procedures such as Laser Skin Resurfacing, Skin resurfacing and facial rejuvenation technologies, Permanent makeup and its complications, Ablative and Non-ablative Lasers, Microdermabrasion Treatments and more which will be discussed under the microdermabrasion meetings, we have tried to cover all the important topics under this session. We will try to focus on each aspect of the topic, which is usually discussed in the rejuvenation methods conferences
Track 5 & 6: Trichology-Managing Hair Loss and Alopecia
Hair is an indicator of good health; it is an extension of the skin. Hair quality reflects a person’s physical health. Trichology is the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and disorders of the human hair and scalp. Hair loss can cause great suffering, and there are many misconceptions about its reasons and treatment. There are some types of hair loss which can have a natural or spontaneous recovery. Excessive hair loss can often be a symptom of some other problem or variation in the metabolism of the body and for this reason, co-operation between the patient’s doctor and the Trichologist is often necessary.
Track 7: Cosmetic Dermatology
Dermatology is the branch of medicine which deals with the hair, nails, skin and its diseases. It is a specialty with both medical and surgical aspects. A dermatologist treats diseases, in the widest sense, and some cosmetic problems of the skin includes Acne is a long-term skin condition characterized by areas of blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, greasy skin, and possibly scarring. The Dermatologists industry has increasingly expanded into cosmetic dermatology, with more dermatologists offering anti-aging procedures such as dermabrasion, laser treatments and Botox.
