Suggested AttendeesThe material presented is relevant for public and private owners and operators, developers, designers, general contractors, and trade contractors of industrial, oil and gas, commercial, infrastructure, institutional, and residential projects. Ideally, top management, division and project leaders, and key execution staff would represent an organization, so that the organization’s BIM strategy and execution tactics can be aligned expeditiously based on the knowledge from the conference.
Following the success of the first and second BIM Conference in the Middle East, jointly organized by the Center for Integrated Facilities Engineering at Stanford University, Consolidated Contractors Company, Projacs Middle East and the Higher Colleges of Technology UAE, we are proud to announce that the 3RD BIM Conference will be held in Dubai on February 25-26, 2015.
Last year’s conference successfully gathered leading BIM experts from across the world including representatives from the construction, engineering and architecture industry to discuss and showcase technological innovations in the areas of BIM. The conference attracted around 150+ delegates in day 1 of the event. Day 2 was a series of rotational workshops, 8 in total, covering case studies from leading contractors (DRP, CCC, CCC/TAV) and BIM vendors such as Bentley, RIB and v Construct.
Given the widespread and strong growth in investment in BIM-based practices among client, design, and construction firms around the world, this 3rd BIM Conference will be deeper and broader than the first two conferences. Newcomers will be able to approach the deeper presentations following an introductory presentation on BIM. Returning participants will learn from the introductory presentations how other firms are raising BIM awareness in their firm and with their partners. Returning participants will also appreciate the updates on the current best BIM-based development, design, construction, and facility management practices, while new participants will rapidly obtain a state-of-the-art perspective on BIM. Technically focused participants will be able to learn from and mingle with speakers who have implemented advanced BIM practices on their projects. Strategically focused participants will be able to engage with speakers from globally leading firms to connect technical and operational capabilities enhanced by BIM with the strategic direction of an enterprise. Following the successful combination of presentation and workshops in the 2nd Conference the 3rd Conference will again feature presentations and workshops so that all participants get an overview of all the material and can then select to deepen their learning and broaden their network through the workshops that are most relevant to them.
